Work Requests & Work Orders
WorkOrdersDeluxe's work flow process begins when someone submits a work request.
The next step in the process begins when a user with the Maintenance Technician
role accepts assignment, thus converting the work request to a work order.
As the technician works the problem he/she can update the work order
status and designate parts used in the repair. Parts used are automatically
removed from inventory.
The last step on the workflow process occurs when the technician
marks the work order as completed.
Accessing the Work Requests & Work Orders Pages
The work requests and work orders pages are accessed with the "Work Requests"
and "Work Orders" buttons in the main menu. All users regardless of assigned
roles can see and access those buttons, but only users with the
Maintenance Technician role can accept assignment of a work request and
update the work order's status and parts used.
